Default I need your help!

Hello everyone!

I was diagnosed with PCOS this summer and reading this forum really helped me deal with the news.

I am now at Ryerson University in Toronto and I am writing an article about PCOS for a magazine at the school. If anyone would talk with me briefly about PCOS and their experience, I would be more than grateful.

I am trying to raise awareness about something that affects far too many of us. Please help me get the word out.

Thank you in advance!

I think it is about time that people know more about this. I was diagnosed over 6 years ago and I have never found a doctor that could give me all the answers. It's very frustrating. It's even harder watching people around you getting prego when I have been trying for over 2 years with no ovulation. I wish you the best with your article and I am willing to help in any way I can.

Hey Kelly
I'm glad that someone is trying to make sure that this is more recognized as an issue. If you ever want to talk i have quite the story of what happened to me when i found out and then when i was told that i had mental issues by a doctor who thought i was making it all up. then to find a doc who believed me and then to go through surgery that ended up pointless. any way, i'm ranting, if you want to talk let me know and i will gladly share.

My deadline for the first draft is tomorrow so if you want to email me at kellylinehan@shaw.ca we can set a time to talk.

Thanks so much!

Unhappy No light at the end of the tunnel

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for caring. It's been a long road. It has taken me over 20 years to receive a diagnosis. Just one week ago I finally began meds. I just hope that my family can stick it out. I am married to a Canadian Soldier and am a Mother of a gorgeous son. I also have my own carreer as a Realtor in a very busy market. I feel completely disconnected and wonder if this journey will have an end.
