Okay, so seeing as I O'd I went to my herbalist for the new formula she was going to start me on, and I got reamed out instead. She wanted me to O so that she could start me on a new formula in preparation for TTC next cycle - I heard what I wanted to hear and figured we should be trying. So, now she won't start me on the new stuff because a) it takes time to work, and b) if I have concieved it could cause an m/c

So, we called my dr, who also won't do any because because she doesn't have any pre-O hormone levels for me for this cycle.

What do I do now? We all think I'm borderline low progesterone - my LP is 10 days to spotting and 12 to flow. And it's the spotting that maybe indicates the problem. Should I find a better-than-GNC NPC and start using it? Or should I just wait this out and see what happens?

Confused and frustrated.

JMHO...but i would take some NPC, just in case. I'm no where near a professional, but it couldn't hurt, especially if you are for sure that you o'ed. Good luck!! and hopefully this is your cycle!

I agree, use some npc! And don't stop it unless you find out for sure you aren't pg. Also vitamin B6 can help with a short LP because it can boost progesterone and lower elevated prolactin levels. Wean off slowly if you get pg.

Trust your herbalist - she's playing it safe.

If you suspect you are pregnant, and it is progesterone cream your herbalist is saying you od, YES go somewhere besides GNC.

If you are pregnant, and you progesterone is terribly low, find a good brand of progesterone cream, or your risk of mc is very high - try Nature's Sunshine's Pro-G-Yam cream (500 mg, not 5 mg), Source Naturals, or Lifestyle Formulas. Progesterone cream should be used from the time you O until your period starts, unless you are pregnant, and you will either need to use it during or at the very beginning, but you need to find a real "Certified Natural Healthcare Professional" (google that term to help find one near you), or at least go to a health food store (independent, not GNC) and talk to someone. If they don't know, go somewhere else.

If you are not talking about progesterone, please ignore this (I missed something I think).
