Default I ovulated on Soy

I took 40mg a day, days 3-7 (but no pregnancy). Got a question though. If I up it to 80mg this cycle, is that ok even though I ovulated on only 40? Anyone know?

Hiya Oceanic6!! I dont know if it will work for you, but I tried 80mg and I ovulated (day 18- June12/13). This is only the 2nd o in 12months, and my 'first month on soy'.

But I also eat a lot of soy products (can't eat dairy) - so I wonder if my true total soy intake is much higher than the 80mg in the capsules. I did get nasty headaches though....

Just remember, a lot of people have soy allergies, and soy can apparently trigger breast cancer if you carry a certain gene. So it might all sound healthy and natural, but anything in a capsule - natural or not - might have side effects. I figured, my soy intake is already substantial, I would give it a try with the caps. It worked for me this time (or maybe it was just a fluke) Now Im waiting 2ww :-)'
PS am also a huge lost fan and cant wait for the next season!

Oh wow, good news about the breast cancer there! Well, Soy can't be much worse than Clomid, right? And if I ovulate on Soy, then I figure there's really no reason to go back on Clomid. Hopefully. The people with allergies, though, do they have symptoms?

And yeah, it totally sucks that we have 7 more months til season 6!

If you ovulated before there's no reason to up your dose. Why did you want to? Stepping to a high dose won't make you O any sooner if that's your concern. (or at least I don't believe so..) best with any type of medication (natural or otherwise) to use the lowest dose that works. HTH

Oh man, I already took two 40mg Soy pills last night. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure why I want to. I guess I'm hoping it'll either create more follicles or at least a STRONGER follicle.

I started on 125mg and O'd. I upped my dose to 150mg and still O'd. (it was easier taking 150 everyday than taking 125 because the caps were 50mg)

snowpea, congrats!

im going to keep my fingers crossed for you too!! Sorry I wasn't on earlier - internet was down and it took forever for comcast to come and fix it.

Im still in a bit of disbelief....dh too! Confirmed from obgyn - 55miu hcg and progesterone at 12.6. Now we have a lot of questions on planning (what to do, how we will manage) we're both grown ups ;-) (30 and dh is 32) but it seems that all those questions are surfacing now...

I was always told I would have to do chlomid...but it looks like the soy did the trick....let me know how it works for you!
