serra-angel: we are pronoucing it lee-ah usually its spelled Leah, but i just dropped the H.. i have a friend who spells it Leigha .. but thats alittle too much for me..lol
traci: all we have left is for my husband to get his cpr... which hes doing thursay...we have all our papers as of today with his doctors paper work.. so we are notarizing everything saturday..we are waiting on INS approval (we were fingerprinted monday) and our passports to come... i can see the light at the end of the long tunnel

DH has had his passport for a few years, I got mine last month. Our HS is Tuesaday, we already have ALL our paperwork done....just waiting on the HS report. We have to wait for the HS report in order to be fingerprinted. After the report, we'll get the appt w/in 2 weeks. After the appt, we'll have the approval w/in a month & then it will take another month to notarize, certify, & authenticate everything (our agency does all that for us). We should be DTC after that!
ETA: We didn't have to get CPR training or anything like that. Our HS is also 3 hours long, not the 4 like I thought it would be (most agencies split it up in to 4 1 hour sessions but ours does it all the same day at our house which is so much easier!).
So we'll be pretty close w/ DTC!

we have to go to our agency tomorrow for one on one interviews.. should last 15 minutes each.. then after he gets his cpr thursday and i fax it to our the agency.. our homestudy is complete!! then we wait for the I71 thingy .. my brother and SIL are going back for baby #2.. we are hoping to travel together.. she thinks the DTC will be at the end of september... im so excited i cant wait..
btw.. wow your agency does your notarizing, cert and auth...wow

It's so strange how different agencies do different things. One of the main reasons why we went w/ our agency (besides Lisa's great recommendation!) is b/c they do all that for us so we didn't have to worry about mailing pkgs off and hoping they're done right or even if they got them and if we'll ever get them back. I would do it again this way. Next time we'll probably go w/ a different HS agency though b/c we're just not happy w/ this one. It makes no sense that we've had to wait this long for all these little papers. They could have easily done the visit and then wrote the report when everything came in (like my FBI check for one which took longer than Chris' to come in!)
That would be great if you could travel together!
