I sat down to do my makeup this morning, and noticed an long black hair under my chin. At first it didn't occur to me that it was GROWING there, so I tried wiping it away. And the it hit me, I am one hair at a time turning into a man. / sigh.. It's bad enough that I can probably produce more lip hairs than my DH, and no matter how much I try to remove them they just keep popping up, but now I have them under my chin too! I'm really starting to feel like the bearded lady and I don't know what to do about it.
I have hair on my chin and it's so bad that I have to shave every morning, me and DBF together at the sink shaving....I know it sounds bad, but you can't tell that I do it unless I tell you....So don't feel bad Hun, you are not turning into a man

I remember when i used to find the few lone hairs...long and wirey...now i have severe hair growth that I have to shave every single morning...my advice...do whatever you can NOW to avoid it getting to the point where you have to shave everyday...i have noo idea what you can do...but there has to be something...medication maybe...idk...this is a nightmare...
Thanks for the feedback, I'm going to start waxing and hopefully that will help keep it under control. It does help to know that I am not the only one dealing wuth this, makes me feel a little less like a freak.... anyway, I read some wax recomendations on this site, so I'm gonna go to Walmart tonight to get some and I'll let everyone know how it goes.
Consider yourself lucky to only have it in the upper lip and now chin area.. I feel like it's everywhere.. even my stomach, chest, and upper biceps are as hairy in places as most mens.. I too have to shave my chin daily and get my upper lip waxed. Best of luck to you..
I know how you feel, I have pretty bad hair growth on my neck, on my chin, on my lip, I swear that I have sideburns that rival Elvis! Not to mention my arms are slowly getting darker and darker, I swear I have more hair on my body then my fiance, at I have too much to wax, and and frankly it's really expensive for me to keep buying the chemical hair removers. At this point the only thing I can seem to do is shave it off, which is pretty tiring because I was also blessed with fast growing hair all around. So basically what I am getting at is that, I understand the frustration, and I'm here for you if you need a friend that can understand. Some of the things that I have tried have been waxing, chemical hair remover, and shaving.

I'm currently not on any birth control, and don't plan to start anytime soon. I am going to an endo next month to get an rx for metformin. I already have WAY too much body hair, it's the facial hair that really upsets me though. I can hide my body hair under my clothes if I haven't shaved, but I can't hide my face.
As far as chemical hair removers go, I have really sensitive skin, and they alway make me bleed. So I think I'm going to have to stick with shaving or waxing.
Thanks again for the comments, I just really needed to vent about my newly found hairs. Hopefully I will bee able to get the PCOS symtoms under control soon!
I have to shave my neck as well, and my chest, stomach...It's horrible, but I keep it gone and I have learned to deal with it. It's just another thing PCOS throws at you.

Question on shaving your stomach since I've tried that.. but it always seems to give me horrific razor burn and 2 days later it's so stubbly it could probably poke through thin shirts.. Any advice?
I used to pluck them, but now there are too many to pluck, so I shave. I started using a body wash that has apricot scrub in it every day and that seems to help I think because of the exfoliating. I just got a tub of wax and I'm gonna try waxing all over tonight. I'll let you know how it goes...
This is my biggest Issue with PCOS that really sucks. Sometimes It really mess with my emotions. My DH makes me feel like a woman so therefore I am. LOL

No you're not turning into a man. Quite a number of us have beard growth which is well within the male range and shave every day just like our DHs do. But that doesn't mean we're turning into men -- it's just that we have some features in common with men that most women don't have.
I may not be physically feminine, but I'm very definitely a heterosexual woman.
