First off I'm new here to the boards. A lil history about myself I am 27 years old and I have had all kinds of girly problems with my cycles and stuff. I was never able to go to the DR due to financial costs and not having ins. However 2 1/ 2 years I was able to go and they diagonsied me as having pcos. They put me on metformin, dexamethasone, and bromicriptine. I was able to induce my cycles and was doing wonderful as far as coming on each month and all that good stuff. and then I went to my mother in laws house for me thanksgivng and thats when the horror began........
First off she is the most evil person you will ever meet although she claims to be such a good bible beliving christian. She never liked me from Day 1 "we have been married 11 years now " When me and my hubby first got together yes we lived together before we got married, and she said how we were living in such sin and thats why she did not want anything to do with us, because we were not living right.Well we got married and still she never liked me. But oh well I'm way over trying to get her to like me. Ok But back to ThanksGiving Day I was over there and I noticed she was all looking at me all funny... She was noticing that my facial hair was gone.. and we were playing cards at the table and she started chanting and stuff, and I asked her, what are you doing witch craft? And My father inlaw said she always does her hexes and voo doo.. Well reguardless to the next month my period did not come and diddnt come for 4 moths,,, I had to induce with bc pills.
I think Im living under a curse. The reason I say this is 15 Months ago my mother in law was at my house and she told me that the reason i was not able to have children was because she prayed that I wouldn't. Now this is coming from a woman who so claims to be such a wonderful christian bible thumping woman who told me and my husband that we were living in sin because we were not married.
Also when she came I was on my monthly deal and she knew that because the evidence was in the bathroom trash and i think this upset her.
I dont know what to do I've been afraid for the last year that this woman really is cursing me and trust me she really is evil.. Her other son was also having infertility problems and her daughter got pregant with a african american man and she made her abort the baby because she was not having a black baby in her family...And my brother in law and his wife wanted to adopt the baby but she refused... Needless to say sister was prego again after that with another guy and her and her boyfriend and 3 kids all unmarried are living with her,,, Isnt that Sin? ........ Yeah thats what I thought tooo...
Anyway as you can tell I'm very confused and hurt by this and dont reall know what to do? Any advice would be great.. Thanks for reading my post.
I know this may not sound like much of a comfort, and I understand that this woman may be "evil" as you put it, but I wouldn't allow yourself to be scared by a neurotic, self obssessed old woman...as people like that are only out to drag others down with them. If she did it to her own children, then she'll do it to you, and sadly, she already has. I know it sounds like the worst cliche ever, but I think that she IS doing this to drag you down, and it seems she will do whatever it takes and if this "Christian" resorts to voodoo, then she is obviously not worth trusting OR believing as far as you can throw her.
BUT...
You said yourself that you've had gyaenocological (can't spell lol) problems in the last few years, but you got yourself on meds to get it sorted. These pills can take a long time to take effect (believe, I've spent days crying because they take such a long time) and they can be affected by SO many things in your life. I've been on and off meds for my PCOS for about 18 months, and MANY things have stopped them from working - diet, stress levels (uni exams can be very stressful!) and relationships....but they WILL sort you out.
I would really try and be strong, I know it must be very hard, especially because of your lack of menstruation and the fact that you connect this with these spells of hers. Can I ask - are you still no menstruating even now? 15 months on?
But I think perhaps faith in the meds & your husband's support is more important than scared belief in a nasty old bat.

As she's a christian he wouldn't have the knowledge to do an effective hex/curse/negative working, call it what you will. That could only be done by an experienced, practising pagan - the very sort of person she probably runs for the hills every time she sees.
She sounds like a nasty piece of work to me, the racism alone would be enough to make me never go near her again in my life - but I doubt she has any supernatural abilities! Some people can be so negative and vile, though, they seem to sap the energy of everyone round them and it sounds to me like she's badly affected your confidence in yourself.
I wouldn't believe for a minute she has cursed you in any way - surely her god would smite her for that one, eh?
My advice would be to have no more to do with her. 'Evil' is a christian concept and not a provable thing in the 'real' world, just an idea used to control people's behaviours in the olden days. Personally I have no time for the whole idea - sounds to me like she has a whole raft of psychological problems going on and you are buying into this negativity seeping out of this sad, sick woman.
My own mother in law was pretty similar and in the end I stopped caring what my husband thought about my attitude to the vile bat, but simply went my own way and wouldn't have anything to do with her. If your husband loves you he will understand how you feel. She's poisonous, that's all. She has no mystical powers - time to see her for what she really is, a pathetic thing you should laugh at, not invest in power.
You can reflect people's negativity back at them in various ways but I always think it's healthier to simply walk away, and don't take any of this onboard for a moment longer. When you do have a child, do you really want this poisonous thing going near it? I wouldn't. I'm willing to bet you will co0nceive easier when not under the stress she is bringing you.
One tip some pagans do for protection against curses, is this. Visualise yourself surrounded by mirrors, reflecting back at the person whatever they are sending you. Think of it if you have to be in the same room as them. Visualise it when you're not. Sit back and watch what happens! Whether this 'works' on a practical level or not is not the point so much as the fact you can take back control and not feel some person has any mysterious hold over you, or your fate. She hasn't. It's in your hands.

Calling you out here, just because she isn't Pagan doesn't mean she can't curse. The power is in Intent, not formality. There are many people who can sense energies and raise their own without being Pagan. {To many of us, it is the same as Prayer for Christians, you are raising energy}.
She very well may be the cause of the "curse". When someone is mad enough, with focused intent, raising energy and sending it in the direction of their anger, can cause enough upset in the Balance to cause 'the desired effect'.
Think of it this way. Christians pray for health of a loved one. When that loved on heals, they call it a Miracle. To Pagans, we raise healing energy and heal the person. Same thing, different methods. So the MIL may be the source.
Now, as to advice. Don't give into the power of the curse. Most of the time, it manifests because you give it the power to do so. When around her, don't give her the pleasure of complaining; be nice to her. Don't let her fool you; and don't you fool yourself. Be calm, reflect upon yourself and what it is you desire, counter her energies with your own (that does not mean to do her harm, but to negate what has already been done).
I also believe in the power of the mind. You give the curse power if you believe it. If you think she has cursed you, and you believe she is powerful enough to control you, then she has. If you can protect yourself and surround yourself with love and healing, you will most likely return to normal. In other words, if you think you are cursed, you will live like you are. Mind over matter. In privacy, calm yourself and make peace with how you feel towards her. Calm the situation in your mind and realize it is not you that has done anything wrong. Send her intentions back to her, and bring love and healing towards yourself. You are more powerful in controlling your own life than you realize. Good luck.

You are right about itnent and clearly xians can ill wish as well as anyone. What I meant was, only an experienced witch would know how to curse in a way that was as effective (and with no backfiring!) as described. You would have to know what you were doing, and the bible says *Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live* (well the old version says that. It's a mistranslation but many thousands of women have been murdered because of it, and that negative attitude to 'witchcraft' is still around, if watered down). In other words, I seriously doubt any xian alive could do it properly or effectively enough to cause the suffering this seems to have. Which makes me think she's just a deeply unpleasant woman, and not someone I'd want to be around if I was thinking of having kids. My own mother in law was the same, and in the end I got sick of going along with her to make my husband feel OK, or not as if he was trapped in the middle. So I refused to go anywhere near or let my kids go near her and because he loved me, he understood me. I did not 'curse' her because that is not my way. If she's a real xian, she shouldn't be practising 'the dark arts' anyway!

I agree...despite what religion she claims to be, I think it's her intent that is wrong. I don't beleive she's cursed you, though I don't believe in coincidences either. If she's really been praying that you don't have children...well, if I were God I would so deny her request. Its not for your MIL to decide whether or not you should have babies. If Jesus were alive today, I think he'd cringe to know what she's doing that is so hypocritical. Telling someone that you don't want them have children is just wrong in the first place and for her to be "cursing" you is also wrong. I truly believe that no matter what religion you are, good or bad deeds, will ALWAYS come back on you. The more she chooses to inflict her ill will on you, the more it will hurt her in the long run.
Now, if you truly do feel you are cursed by this woman, you could seek out an experienced witch and see if she can offer a spell of protection for you, or since you are Christian, send a prayer for help. Spells (and prayers) do work, as you have to have intent and purpose, but you have to be careful... and if this woman doesn't know what she's doing...
My mother-in-law is a strict Southern Baptist and didn't like that I was living with her son before we were married. But, I think she's gotten over it because she sees how much we love each other and how much we are soul mates. She's questioned her own faith many times because of what others in her church and faith have done to her (wow, the stories I could tell), so she's more accepting of me (I'm not Christian) and my mother (she's Pagan). She also sees that we aren't eating babies or hexing people (LOL) and has a more open mind now. I really hope your mother-in-law can be the same way, but some folks are just too stubborn to change.
What I like about this forum is that even though we all have varying degrees of religion that I'm sure we could debate about, we all have one thing in common: PCOS. We are all struggling and this forum lets us all be sisters in the fight for better health.

Personally, I don't believe in curses....however if your mother in law does I would get her goat. I would go to her house and place odd things in her house-you know a bird feather, a clove of garlic, a fish eye and put it all together. When she asks about it, tell her YOU put a curse on her. Heck, You could go around chanting something like "by the light of the moon, the evil one shall have no rest"

Hehehe. I am so funny. We are on the national do not call registry. When someone calls the house trying to sell me something, I ask them to hold on for a sec and get one of the kids and tell them the phone is for them. It's hilarious. My 5 dd and 3 ds love talking on the phone. Heck, I figure if they want to waste my time, turnabout is fair play!
