Default I think I need a second opinion. pcos diagnosis

I went to the doctor about a month ago and had some blood work done to see if I had PCOS. My doctor said she doesn't think I have it, but I think I do based on my blood test and physical appearance, ie.thicker hair on my arms, stomach, and some facial hair. I carry a lot of my weight in my lower belly and hips. My periods are not that off. I might skip a month here and there. No matter what I do I cannot lose a pound. I few years ago I was able to lose about thirty pounds with WW, but have gained it back. I would like for you guys to take a look at them and see what you think.

PCOS isn't a diagnosis made just from lab results. There are many things that can also mimic pcos.

You might want to look into getting another doctor who can help give you some clarity regarding your symptoms.

I have been diagnosed by two different REs (one in 2002 and one in 2007) but went through this with an ob/gyn (in 2007) who didn't think I had PCOS.

There is a more recent classification of women with PCOS. As the pp said, there are many factors that should be used to make the diagnosis. All of my bloodwork is within the normal range (including glucose). I am a normal weight. The two REs went more from my history than anything. Lack of cycles and cystic ovaries.

Another opinion wouldn't hurt~
