Default i think Januvia is helping

A couple of weeks ago i went in for my check up. I have gained 70 lbs and now my A1C is bad again. I was doing so good for so long i wasn't that worried about it anymore. Now i am on drugs out the wazoo. My tryglycerides are outrageous and i have had 5 different meds added for almost 400 bucks per month. My neropathy is getting worse and they just make me feel like i am going to drop dead with a heart attach any minute, even though i feel very healthy.

Tricor, niaspan, baby asprin, mega red (fish oil),linisopril, glucophage, januvia, multi vitamin, calcium is my new cocktail every day

Honeslty it has got me a little bit depressed. Makes me feel much older than my 37 years. IT has taken over my mind and just makes me feel like there is no hope. We were trying to have a baby but now that makes me feel like that is a selfish and laugable concept. ANYWAY sorry my real reason for writing was i really think the Januvia has helped A LOT with the sweet cravings. I havn't had anything sweet in almost 2 weeks. Just don't want it, tried to have a cookie cause my friend made them, i took two bites and jfelt like i was forcing myselg to eat that much. That was a happy feeling.

I love Januvia. Absolutely love it. No side effects, just good stuff. I definitely noticed a reduction in my cravings for sweets, and in the amount of food I want to eat.

I have been on Januvia for a few months, and have noticed that sweets taste too sweet. Also, I seems like I get fuller faster. It has made an amazing difference with my daily glucose levels, and my A1C. Also, I lost 15 pounds in like 2 months. I know its not a huge weigh loss, but it is for me.

Are you girls taking januvia because of having diabetes II or just being insulin resistant by itself? Just curious!

I'm diabetic and begged my endocronologist to take me off byetta. It made me miserable, but Januvia has helped a lot.

I am taking januvia midday with lunch ( along with glucophage and glyburide) and I am not sure if it is just me but I feel horrible after I take it. My stomach feels swollen within 1-2 hrs after I take it and i get terrible stomach pains, almost as if I have been punched in the gut. It goes away within 2 hrs but I am noticing a pattern everyday now.Has anyone else experienced these or other side effects from their meds???

i've been taking januvia in the morning about a half hour before i eat anything. it seems to do better for me that way. i was feeling sick when i was taking it with my lunch or midday meal. I HATE to feel sick on my stomach. it got so bad i tried to make myself sick to stop the nausea. doc suggested to take it early without food. its working for me. good luck.
