Lightbulb I thought this was a hoax but it worked!

I had to share this because it really worked for me. I was breastfeeding for a year (stopped last week) so I really couldn't do a whole lot for my VERY bad acne. I went to see the OB about my pcos and while I was there, he suggested a blue-light treatment for my face. Well after looking into it, I decided to try buying one myself and doing it at home. The package said it takes 8-12 weeks to work and you have to do it 15 min a day. You just basically sit with the light on your face. I just watched tv with it on. I only needed it on my cheeks and chin so it was fine and not in my eyes. Anyway, it really did work. After 6 weeks, my skin was almost totally clear (there were a few small pimples but 100% less than before). I did it 30 min. a day. The light does not damage the skin at all. All it does is stimulates the bacteria that are trapped under the skin to produce Oxygen, which actually kills them. It's like bacteria suicide, lol! The only thing is, the light I bought was expensive because I bought one like the ones they use at the dermatologist's office. It is called acnelamp (www.acnelamp.com) and it is LED lights as opposed to the others that are fluorescent. Anyway, jsut wanted to tell others what worked for me! Now that my dd is weaned, I am back on met so my skin should stay pretty clear. I hope!!! Good luck!

I saved a copy of your post in case I want to decide to do that. I get the cystic acne on my chin, back, and back of neck so sitting by a light would work for me. Right now I'm taking antibiotics temporarily to get rid of that nasty bacteria.

Thanks again, I did not know about the light.
