Well I am back from my scan this afternoon at the hospital. Thankfully for me the worst bit is over and it really was not that bad. I think I was more embarrassed that anything else and I think that just comes down to a size issue! The woman doing it was really nice to me and it was all very dignified!
They did do the abdominal scan first but being my size she opted to do the internal one. I was so pleased just to have a wee!
It only last about 20 minutes. She said to me my ovaries where very bulky (as of yet I don’t know much about that) I finally I think I can say I do have PCOS. It seems to have been a long wait to get to today with that 6 months wait from first seeing the consultant. It was back in April when I first saw my GP! At last it’s done now and just perhaps I can finally start to move on a bit more. I only wish I’d seen my GP for a referral years ago!
My scan results where sent off to the consultant this afternoon and my follow up appointment is tomorrow morning at 9am. Personally I don’t expect anything major, I just want to finally try Metformin and see if that will help. I also think he will prescribe Provera for me as it’s been 155 days since my last AF!
Anyway I’ll post something tomorrow to let you know how my appointment with the consultant goes.
Finally a big thanks to all those friends I have made on here over the past couple of months! It’s great to meet others who know what we are all going though! Have some bunches of flowers from me
glad it went ok, i've had the same scan and they couldn't see anything out of the ordinary with mine. But now i have had a million and one scans i have no dignity left so they don't bother me now.
Hope the results confirm it one way or another.
If i don't post it later have a great time in Sweden and take loads of photos to post.

Know what you mean about the wee. They made me wait over 2 hours in the waiting room after I had drunk alot of water, then they wouldn't let me go, ggrrr!
