Default I've messed up with Clomid :-( Pls help?

Hi everyone

I did something silly yeserday, and have only just realised :-(

I am supposed to take Clomid day 2-6, I am currently on my 3rd round, I took it yesterday which was only day 1!!! Will it matter if I take it day 1-6, i.e. an extra day?

Also, the other thing....I had no response with 50mg or 100mg, doc told me to take 150mg, but I am going to take 200mg......without the docs knowing....?

What shall I do, what would you do?

I really dont know if taking itanother day will hurt ..I have heard of ladies taking some it from, just say, 2-6 and then a little later if their scans dont show any good follicle growth...I would just take it for the normal amount of 5 days...( you would probably just O a little earlier)

I did what you are thinking of doing , I O'ed on CD38 on 50mg CD5-9, so next round I took 150mg CD5-9, O'ed on CD21 and just celebrated my twins 2nd birthday on the 10th. Its not advisable to do really, but my doctor told me to Up my dose by 50mg each cycle if I didnt O...I just cheated a little...

Chance of multiples os roughly 7-10% on clomid, so its higher than normal population (3% i think) but not overly high....only thing is if you get overstimulated by the higher dose and you arent being monitored you might not be aware until later on...

I am about to start taking clomid unmonitored again and going straight into 100mg and hoping for 1 baby this time! OF course I wouldnt say no to twins, but 1 would be nice!

All the best!!

I don't imagine that taking it day 1-5 is going to be bad though personally I would stick with the doctor recommended dosage.
If you do have concerns, try to ring them and see what they say.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I am on my 3rd Clomid round too, with 150mg, CD 2-6. I think CD 1-5 should be okay but I wouldn't recommend taking it for 6 days instead of 5.

I was on another site reading about clomid successes and I found this:

Name: Erica | Date: December 13, 2005, 17:25
Answer: I was on clomid days 1-5 and felt little to no s/e on 150 mg a day. I ended up pg with triplets . I had a c-section. Healed nicely . The babies b/g/g had to stay for observation for one week and then came home with me . I wouldnt trade them for the world. How is that for hope. =

Here is the link to the site: http://www.pregnancy-info.net/QA/ans...ccess_Stories/

Hope this helps

And several success stories on the site listed above included women who took clomid days 1-5, so I think you will be okay.
