Angry I want this taken seriously

I was diagnosed with pcos in March of last year. My problem is my dr didn't tell me how serious this could be. He says okay I will give you provera and when ever you want a cycle you take. Not that this is just a fix until you lose weight, eat right etc.

So I need to know once I lose weight and diet will my cycle start naturally. Should I take provera I have two kids I really don't want anymore right now. With the provera I run that risks.

Can you take Alli pills or should I ask my dr for diet med as well. I have a new dr I will meet on the 21st so hopefully she will take me serious.

I hope your new dr is more helpful than your other dr. since pcos affects us all differently, there's no way to really tell if losing weight will help af come more regularly for you until you try. for me, when I was thinner, af didn't come any more regular than it does now. provera will help to shed your uterine lining, which will reduce your chances of developing uterine cancer. me and provera don't mix...I get nasty migraines around af anyways, but with provera it was much worse, so I don't want to take it again. but there are many who take provera somewhat regularly, so it's really up to you if you want to give it a try or not.
