I just had to switch to a new GYN due to insurance. Well, I wilol never go back the guy was such an jerk. If your ever in Santa Maria, CA do not go see Dr. Mitchell Adler. On my first visit he told me I was Fat. I'm 173 but not that big. Then told me I didn''t have PCOS b4 examination saying that it's an easy way out for Dr's. Then on my second visit, He had a hard time doing the Pelvic Exam. I'm really tiny so it's hard for me I. Well he got all pissed off anmd said I had to get over whatever it is that's keeping me from being able to do this and didn't finish the exam. I left the office and cried for a half hour. I'm gonna try and get my Primary to send me back to my old GYN Dr. Ebner. He's the best! Just not in the same group as my primry . I would probably pay for it on my own if the tests weren't so damn expensive.
ah my god!! complain bitterly, that's what i say, how dare a dr treat you this way, i'm so so sorry!!! money shouldn't be an issue in patient manners!!! agh this makes me so angry! don't let him upset you though he's obviously an ignorant jerk!!

I am so sorry for what happened. You NEED to report this quack. What he did was wrong and disrespectful. You pay him to help you .... not to treat you inhumane. Report the SOB.

At the very least, send your insurance company a letter letting them know how you were treated. Then tell them you'd like to see your old doc, who knows how to treat patients.

What a jacka$$!! He so deserves to be reported, he's there to help you overcome your illinesses, not to disrespect you and treat you in a gross manner ... he needs to be reported because he was very unprofessional in my books!

Write letters to anyone and everyone who could possibly be of any help!! What a jerk!! I had a female dr. treat me similarly. IMO, they wasted time and money going to med school, b/c they're not worth anything to their patients!!

I agree 100% with what everyone has said. When I had my DD, I chose to go to an OB outside my network and all I needed was a referral from my PCP. So, hopefully that is all you will need as well. Would it be possible to have your yearly's done by your PCP and finding an endo to handle your PCOS?
I'm sorry you had to deal with that jerk.

I hope that dr gets what he deserves. I think he needs to get a chronic disorder & have someone talk to him that way!! I wish you well & good luck getting back in with your old dr.
I hope u get to see ur old doc. You don't deserve to be treated like this! Report him. Even if no action is taken against him at least it will be on his record. What an asshole! I'm sorry ((hugs))

Write a letter to the editor of every newspaper you can find in the area, and maybe not get into many details, but let everybody know what happened. Call the hospitals he may have priveldges (I can't spell) at and speak to a patient advocate and tell them what happened, and that you just don't want other women treated this way.
I may sound harsh, but if you really want to get this guy, you need to hit him where it's REALLY going to hurt, his patient load. Make women think twice before going to this guy. You never know, there may be MORE women out there who were treated like you and are too afraid to say anything.
OK I'm shutting up now. This just ticks me off, and I wan't in a good mood to start with.
