I don't know about the PCOS/IBS relationship, but I had a colonoscopy a couple years ago and I just wanted to say - don't sweat it! Be sure to stay near a toilet the night before ;-) but really, the procedure itself was a breeze. They sedated me and I was totally knocked out. I don't remember a thing. I think people stress out about it way more than you need to. The worst part is just the night before, and drinking all that saline solution - blech!

I was diagnosed with IBS at 12 years old. I didn't find out I had PCOS until I was 18.

I don't know anything about IBS-C, but if you have IBS-D, ask your doctor about a drug called Welchol. It's an offlabel use for it, but it has completely turned my life around and I wish I'd had it years ago.
Jennifer - The pain you're describing seems similar to what I feel sometimes. It feels like a horrible gas pain right in the belly button area. It's almost like a stabbing, sharp, pain. I never had this pain until I had my c-section last august. Now, certain foods give me a pain in that area and it makes it really uncomfortable to sit or stand or anything.
