Default ibupropen ?

Hi All,
I was reading a thread and it said something about taking mydol but to check it for ibupropen content. Is there a problem with taking this after being DG PCOS, and IR ? If so I would really like to know cause my doctor just told me to take it for the swelling in my hands and face. It really seems that I find something new every time I come to this site. Thanks All .

That could have been me ??
I replied to a post about cramping and what other cysters did for their...I replied I always watch my ibuprophen content around "That time" becuz it has ASA (aspirin) in it and thins the blood ?
If I am wrong I hope someone will correct me but I have found that if I take Advil etc (although wonderful for cramps) I will bleed longer and harder .. its just not any FUN !!!

I have not however heard of any correlation between Ibuprophen and IR or PCOS but it definetly is something to ask your doctor about next time you see him

Hope this 'kinda' helps ????

Good luck

Because you don't want to take midol that contains Ibuprofen AND additional amounts of it(IB) at the same time.

It is like cold meds.....

You should never take Tylanol sinus med then take tylanol on the side. You can over dose.

You can how ever take both Tylanol and Ibuprofen as a piggy back style. (I learned about this when my son had high fevers as a baby)

You start off with your Midol(containing IB) at 7am.
You then can take Tylanol at 9 or 10 am.
Then you set your doses after the first one.

IB usually says 6 hrs
Tylanol is every 4 hrs.

I would not suggest taking them at the same time(sometimes the doses land this way) because it will/can do damage to the tummy. Some even have diarea.

Another warning is not to drink alcohol while taking ANY pain med.
They all do damage to the liver. So please use moderation with anything you consume.

Good Luck,

Patty
