Default ICI or Cervical Cap?

I just began seeing a new RE who told me about a couple of slightly less invasive procedures. One is called a cervical cap, where the couple put the semen in a tiny cup and place it over the cervix right in the privacy of their own home. She said it places the sperm right at the cervix so they have a better chance of swimming up to the egg. If that is not successful, there is another option called intra-cervical insemination (ICI). It is similar to IUI only the sperm is not "washed" and the catheter just injects the sperm right at the cervix instead of into the uterus.

Has anyone heard of this or had any success with it?
