If I O'd on my own this month, will they still give me clomid next cycle?

Ok...I am sitting here sort of relieved and worried at the same time. After a looooong 8 months, my body is sending me signs that I may be getting my first period since my d&c in December (my first af without provera that is). So...I just spent the last 8 months going to doctors to "figure out what is going on." The RE said get progesterone test first week in July, then do round 3 of provera, then do clomid days 3-7.....great! I had a plan....Now, I have some lower crampiness and my boobs are a little sore, and I have been *sporadically* temping and today it was 98.4. Hmmmmmm...could I have FINALLY o'd on my own? Am I going to get a period? If so....will the doc still recommend that I take clomid on days 3-7? My worry is that he'll say....great...no problem, go from there! My fear is that I won't O again for another 8 months. Hmmmmm, can't talk to him until tomorrow so my mid is racing. Also...would the hot weather make the temps that much higher? I am reaching here....I am *technically* on cd 26. Any thoughts?

pregnant 11/01, m/c in 12/01...no af since d&c on 12/27...have had 2 successful rounds of provera, dx with mild "PCOS" and I do not have Insulin Resistance! About to start 3 round of provera AND clomid!~

Well, I think if it is an O and not AF coming, then you might not get Clomid. Clomid makes people ovulate that currently don't. So if you have ovulated, there's nothing Clomid can really do for you as far as I've been told.

Seems like your body has had a break and is returning to normal!

thanks for your reply. I am not sure I understand though...it is definately AF coming. If I did O......it was a while back because I am on cd27 and having lots of pre-af symptoms. Spot is here today as well. My concern is that my body is sooooooo out of whack, that if we don't *continue* with this plan, I might be sitting here 8 months from now cursing myself. Wouldn't it make more sense to just continue on? The way I see it, is ...PCOS patients are very irregular and provera is typically used to bring on a period....now it looks like I don't need the provera this time around (my first af since October! Whoooohooo!) but....I still may need the clomid to make me ovulate. I will talk with my RE tomorrow.....
