did you O on 100mg??

Just wondering. I am CD 22 today on 50mg Clomid, and my chances of O'ing are slim. Re said we'll go to 100mg next month. I'm just trying to stay hopeful since I'm normally annovulatory.

I didn't O on 50mg but did O twice on 100mg. But, I didn't O after that and went to an RE who added the Ovidrel hcg trigger shot to trigger ovulation. That works like a charm. But also keep in mind that some women O very late on Clomid. So it would be perfectly normal if you O'ed around CD 28 or something.

I'm going to keep OPKing - not giving up hope!! My RE has never mentioned "triggering" to me. Then again, this is only my first round.

If you don't O this cycle after about 30-35 days, call your RE for Provera. Also ask about the trigger shot.

I didn't ovulate on Clomid at 50, 100, or 150. I was really upset because I thought that was my only option to ovulate...but then I found Femara, which I have had much better success with. I hope you do ovulate this cycle, but if you don't there are other options!! Baby dust!

I am anovulatory as well. I didn't O on 50mg or 100mg. But we did one last ditch effort with 150mg and I had follicles big enough to trigger. I'm 12dpo right now and bfn - but still, the trigger means I O'd with 150mg.

nursencars - I didn't O with 50mg (no follicle growth at CD12) then the next month with 100mg, I O'd and got BFP. Not only that, looking at your siggy, we have very similar background! I was on BCP (Yasmin too!) for a long time for my skin issue and horrible cramps, then when I got married and got off of it, I didn't get AF back for several months. That's when I was Rx with PCOS. I am also 5'3" and about 110 lbs.

Are you being monitored? How about Metformin? I'm not insulin resistant but my RE still put me on it and I think it helped.

akachan: No, i'm not being monitored. I'm surprised b/c I am going to a RE at the Cleveland Clinic. Then again, this is my first round. Maybe if the next round is unsuccessful, she'll do ultrasounds. I am not on metformin,but when I went of BCP 3 years ago and didnt get a period for 9 months, had acne, hair falling out, my Gyn put me on metformin alone. I was on it for 3 months and never got a period nor any improvement in my symptoms. Then I went to see the RE and she told me met wouldnt work for me since according to my bloodwork, i'm not insulin resistant. Though, I am aware of the success many women have (even if not insulin resistant) wtih met and clomid together. We'll see.

No luck for me on 50, 100, or 150. I've O'd both of the times I've done Femara (bfn the first time and in 2ww now).

Out of 3 50mg cycles I O'd twice. I have been bumped up to 100mg and just started my second cycle at this dosage.

I always find it strange how all our bodies react to Clomid(or don't).

Thanks guys, you give me hope. I shouldnt be complaining though, this is only my first round. I tend to be pessimistic. I guess I just dont expect it to come easy for me. In the meantime, I will continue OPKing just in case - who konws, I've heard some ladies O really late on Clomid. I wonder if higher doses of Clomid puts you at higher risk of twins!?
