If you don't O on your own, will Vitex correct that?
This is a question that I've been wanting to know an answer to!! I have PCOS and take metformin XR 500mg/once a day. I also have an ovulation defect. I know Vitex helps with lengthy periods and so forth, but will it bring a period on? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much, Renee.
Vitex and Dong quai worked for me 600mgs of each throughout my cycle except during af visit I didnt take dong quai. I took the oral capsules. I never had af or ovulated on my own and it worked for me perfectly; I am not pg because of it- I decided to try clomid for this pregnancy, but it has worked for others.
With your glucophage, has your fasting insulin been tested since you started taking it? If your fasting insulin is above 10 your dose may need to be altered, 500 mgs is a very small dose, It took 2000mgs for me to have normal insulin levels. That will help possibly with bringing af back, ovulation or at least helping the quality of your eggs.

I started with irregular cycles maybe, 2-3 a year. I started taking vitex in May 2002, and I can say that by following the directions I started getting my cycle every 33-42 days as of July of 2003.
Thank you sooo much! I just wanted to tell you all the I tested last night and I'm PREGNANT!!! I'm sooo excited! I took 100mg Clomid this cycle and I'm still in shock!!! Thank you again!! (((HUGS))) Renee.
Just wanted to thank you for giving me a glimmer of hope....Im not TTC yet but sometimes get really depressed when I think about it and wondering if it will happen for us when we do try....please keep us updated on how you're doing
