I took 50mg clomid on CD 5-9, starting on 8/8/08 (lucky number 8!!). In all likelihood, I ovulated last week around CD 23 or 24, so a VERY long cycle!! I am CD 28 and think I feel AF just around the corner, if twinges in the pelvic area today are anything to go by! Not expecting a BFP this cycle, only because DH had to have hernia surgery 2 weeks ago & wasn't up to BMS last week around time of O - so it really would be a miracle if we got a BFP!!
Has anyone else on clomid found they got really bad pains in the abdomen and lower pelvic region when Oing? I felt bloated for 2 days and constant stabbing pain in right ovary - it felt like the egg was the size of a grapefruit!! (my RE did tell me it was a nice big follicle!!).
So i guess in my case, it does suggest that taking clomid on 5-9 makes the cycle longer and poss produces bigger eggs!! I actually can't wait to go another clomid cycle now, coz I had such good results for 1st one, and that was a "practise" to see if they could induce ovulation!!
