IFB - I think you've made the problem worse unfortunately. As soon as there is a second name involved, everything stops. The server will not allow the same user to have 2 names. There is another thread either in Board Functions or in the Ask Kat started by someone with an X name (lol I don't remmeber it) she has been asking for a name change, and then created another acct (due to lack of response) and is now running into the same issue as you.
The problem is that Kat hasn't been responding on any of these types of threads lately. I understand she is busy, but if she is not able to respond in a timely fashion to genuine concerns I would hope she assigns some of these moderator duties to the mods soon though, its really disheartening to see threads like this go for weeks/months without being resolved.
I do hope for you she reads this and helps out sooner rather than later.

On a TTC Break after 3.5 years
Hubby has hyperthyroidism, with T4 at 85 (normal 22) and T3 at 35 (normal 6.5)
July 2009 - Radio Active Iodine - Failed. Did not kill off enough thyroid.
October 2009 - T4 is 29 and T3 is 22
Jan 2010 - Another round of RAI
