Default Im Hungry!!!!!!!!!!!!

All the time!! Ive been on Met for almost 3 months and Im seriously hungry all the time. Like yesterday, we had a really heavy dinner and half an hour later Im already hungry again. It got so bad, I wasnt able to sleep and had to get up and eat a quick meal.

Been having this for about 3 weeks now.. the doc put me on Met without checking my insulin levels(!!!) and no bloodwork.. so now Ive found another doc and will be going in for the bloodwork in a week. She asked me to stay on the Met however.

Could the Met be causing this? The first month on Met, I couldnt eat anything because aways felt like throwing up right after.. Now it seems I just cant eat enough Any ideas anyone?

Are you checking your blood sugar levels? If you don't have a meter but know someone who does, have them check your level when you are feeling seriously hungry.

I occassionally will go through periods like this. It's really important that what you are eating is not high in carbs. Carbs are converted into glucose and will cause a spike and then a drop in sugar. Choose something with protein such as string cheese or beef jerky and it will satisfy the hunger pains without causing the big spike/drop.

I have also found that if I don't eat enough protein I am hungry all the time. I recently went back to work and I have yet to find the balance of meals that keep me full during the day. I have found that since I have been on the Met for almost a month my hormones have gotten a little better. I think it maybe due to the fact that my sugar levels are in check. Good Luck and let us know how your tests come out.
