Points: 212.35 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 212.35 | Im new here, just an introduction! Hi there, my name is Kim and I am 23. I was diagnosed with PCOS about 3 years ago. Before that I had been on and off of birth control but was at th epoint where I was needing one that was going to work for me. when I went to the doctor he told me I had the PCOS and I was absolutely devastated. I cried a lot. I had met my husband 4 months previous and was horrified at the prospect of never having children. However I did find a bc that worked for me, the lo-ovral. I have taken that until december of this past year when I started to take ovulation tests to see what was going on with me. We are not yet trying, well we were, however we both decided that we need to get in better shape first. We have an appointment at the end of this week that WAS to start clomid, but now its to discuss other things. Anyways, I was taking the ovulation tests for 5 months, never got a positive. However 15 days ago I got two positive tests two days in a row. I actually thought something was wrong with the tests and I blew them off. But yesterday, I started my period!! I cannot tell you how excited I was! To know that my body could do something normal and just to know that it was capable, was an amazing feeling! So now, I am hoping I keep on having them and so I don't have to take clomid. Im so excited! In a couple of months we will start trying for baby #1. My hubby would like to reach our first anniversary first. That is August 18th. So yeah, thats just a little about me. Oh I am trying to figure out what changed in the past month to make me ovulate and have a period and here are the only changes I can think of. I reduced my metformin to 1000 mg's a day b/c 2000 was giving me way to much GI stuff. I started taking a vitamin daily, and about a month before, I had used some natural balancing cream with progesterone and estrogen in itand then I stopped it, when I was on that, (Im bipolar as well) I noticed a dramatic difference in my moods and I have remained that way since being off of it. Other than that I really haven't made any changes. If you have any ideas, let me know. Ohterwise its really good to meet you all. Thanks! |
