Default Im so heartbroken

My first pregnancy was on clomid no met I m/c 5 wks 2003

took a long needed break

suprise bfp 2nd m/c 5 or 6 wks 2006 no meds

tried iui and clomid 1 cycle bfn 6/2008

took a break because I had a kidney stone

suprise bfp 10/5/08 after i thought i had AF and only tested because I started spotting ( no meds)

beta in ER was 421

10/6/08 beta dropped to 243

So here I am devestated and confused how can I get pregnant with no meds other than metformin and the iui doesn't work. RE said I need to let myself heal and i need ovulation medication to make sure hormones are straight.

my spotting has ceased and I have to follow up with gyno tomorrow ( this feels nothing like last 2 m/c 's ) -

Anybody with insight about this?

First of all I am so sorry for all your losses.

Going on Ov medications without TTC makes no sense to me. If they want to do something about your hormones, or give your body a break, going on BCP or not taking anything would make better sense. Taking Ov drugs will not "straighten" out the hormones. It's a temporary thing.

Have you tried to get a second (Or third even) opinion, or had any genetic testing done yet? Sorry you're going through all this.

I'm very sorry, you have been through so much! I hope that you can find some answers and get with doctors who can help you. I had one early loss in that timeframe, and it caused me to lose all hope that anything would ever work out. Please give yourself time to grieve and feel better. We're here to listen. (((Hugs)))

I don't think you need to do fertility meds. It seems like you are having cycles on your own. IUI only gives sperm a head start, by no means guarantee that you will get pregnant. Have they ever tested your progesterone at any point during any of your m/cs? When I lost my first (it was also a surprise conceived naturally) I lost it at 5 1/2 weeks. My second beta showed a drop from almost 500 to 200. The progesterone was very, very low...only a 3!! I am pregnant again and they have me on progesterone supplements this time around. There is also the possibilty of genetic testing too. I would talk to your dr and see what they think you should do. Good luck, things will work out!

I'm so sorry for your losses. I have had one successful pregnancy, no problems at all. When I tried to conceive my second child, things have not been so easy. I found out I had PCOS and had 2 consecutive early MC. I started seeing an RE after my second MC and went through a month of testing. I had a HSG done which revealed my uterus to be a bit oddly shaped. My RE suspected I had uterine polyps/fibroids which can cause MC. He recommended I undergo surgery to remove them, I just had the surgery yesterday. (A hysteroscopy and D&C.) My doc said surgery went well, apparently I did in fact have several polyps/fibroids and he got me all cleaned out. I'm feeling optimisitc that this may have been the culprit of my multiple MC. Has your doc checked you out for this? Good luck!

went to gyno on wed got hcg results today so here it goes first beta was 421 second 240 ish and this one was 210. So he wants to see me in two weeks to make sure its going down correctly. ** last two m/c were quick and this seems to be dragging. A part of me wants to go to RE and see what he suggest and get started but the other part wants nothing to do with ttc. almost 6 yrs of marriage and 3 m/cs that's rough.

Genetic testing has been done and i can't remember everything but I know I go the baseline of all testing before first iui attempt. fluid sono, antibodies testing, blood clotting, so much stuff, and all that was determined was that I have pcos (which was known), Im insulin resistant which is also known and that my husband has low volume on his SA. ** new one to us

# 2 and this pregnancy I wasn't on OV drugs and from what the RE is saying he believes that's my problem. I have been told it would be a good idea to take progesterone but both times I believe it was too late to try it I didn't notice anything until I was spotting.

I guess I just want to hear that pcos cysters have m/c natural pregnancies and gone on with OV drugs and had normal healthy pregnancies.

I've come along way I used to have AF like 3 times a year now post laproscopy it's like clockwork but I guess if pcos is there its always there.
