It makes it so much easier to understand what's going on in your body when you can see thing like this. It's also alot easier to understand the treatments that the doctors tell you about.

Now, if you are squeamish, don't look. In order, the first 4 show looking at the cyst, the white thing. then the next 4 show them burning and cutting it out. I believe the next 8 are others that they cut out and burned, (I had this done in 1997, it's hard to remember) and the last 4 show them looking at my ovary and uterus. I only have one ovary so you will only see one. I hope this helps someone.

| ..a beautiful disaster.. Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Virginia ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Deanna Thanks so much for posting your pictures. I feel like I know you personally now In all seriousness, it was really interesting to see your photos. I've never even had an ultrasound of my cysts! Not that I want a problem or flare up where I would have to go under the knife, but it would be nice to put a face on PCOS. Thanks again!

| When is it my time? Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Cleburne, TX. ![]() ![]() | I found this site through a Yahoo search while trying to explain to my 14 yr. old niece what PCOS was and how it affects us that have it. I think it does a good job of explaining things, without using huge words that only a doctor can pronounce. Lol. http://www.4woman.gov/faq/pcos.htm#1 Check it out. It might be worth while for the newbies!

| Soap Artisan Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Northern California ![]() ![]() | I have a picture from my laporoscopy that shows both of my ovaries. One is pinkish and healthy looking. The other is coated in white with spots. I'll have to scan it some time to post. And here is my spotted ovary on ultrasound. ![]()

| Registered User | Ok - so this might be a random newbie question- but say, you have the cysts and your doctor puts you on the pill and metformin. Do the cyst just go away? do they dissolve? My ultrasounds showed that my left ovary was totally spotted with cysts. The other (right) was fine... just wondering how all those yechy sacks go away! Thanks ![]() |
