(imitating Barbarino)"I'm so confussed!" I need some help w/my herbal treatment of PCOS. Before you tell me to see a professional, there are NONE w/in 300 miles of me. And even if there were, we are too financially strapped to afford a trip.
Some info:
I self diagnosed about 1 year ago, but didn't begin treating myself until about last March.
I am estrogen dominate PCOS.
I am 5 ft tall and weigh 200lbs.
I am IR, even though I "passed" the test.
My symptoms are: obesity, irregular periods, missed periods, infertility (didn't know it was caused by PCOS until 7 years later), no ovulation, high blood presssure, depression, mood swings, irritability, skin problems, acne, - that's all I can think of right now.
I started taking herbs in March, using Black Cohosh and Vitex. I had to stop the Black Cohosh because it gave me headaches. I really like the Vitex, though and it has mostly regulated my periods.
Then about May, I started taking Red Clover Blossoms and it just seems to make me feel better overall. It esp. seemed to help clear my sinuses.
I also take CoEzQ10.
I recently started taking Saw Palmetto, Chromium Picolinate and Green Tea Extract, hoping they would help me w/IR and loose some weight, but I have had absolutely no luck w/weight loss.
Here's the run down:
Vitex 500mg -2 per day
Red Clover 430mg-2 per day
Saw Palmetto 540mg -1 per day
Chromium Picolinate 200mcg per day
Co EzQ10-100mg per day
Green Tea Extract-315mg-2 per day
Does anyone know if these are what I need to be taking and in the right amounts? |
