I have read on so many websites that having the HSG test increases your chances of getting pregnant, my question is does it with woman who have pcos?? I just got it done on 1/16 and I would love to get pregnant on my own with the drugs which i start next month.
It increases your chances if you have any blockages in your tubes. When the dye is forced through the tubes, sometimes it will open them up which helps the egg travel to the uterus. I've read lots of stories of women getting pg after an HSG, including those with PCOS. You may want to ask this question in the Trying To Conceive forum. Best wishes!

I got my HSG on May 26, 2006 and got my BFP on June 19 2006. I have a 10 month old baby boy to show from it! However...I was on fertility medicines when I got prego.
The oil base dye.. makes the fibers in the tubes stand up as well.. which helps grab and guide the egg down.. This ups your chance about three months after the HSG.

I had no idea it did that. I am nervous about getting mine done which I can get done once I have a period. But I have to give met 3 months to make me start one before I can call my gyn to get provera to make me have one.
