I found this web site and it said for weight loss/control to take 200mcg three times per day. I was only taking it once. This weekend I increased it to twice each day. Have any of you had any success with taking Chromium?
250 mcg per day! No wonder it hasn't seemed to work for me! I just sat here and scarfed down chips and two huge cookies and wondering why I was having theses cravings! I'v got to increase my dosage!

I would just check with your doctor. It is definitely ok with your vitamins and should not be a problem with the metformin either as long as you aren't having and blood sugar problems and you are just insulin resistant.
I have increased my dose of chromium to 200 mcg twice a day (with breakfast and dinner). I haven't noticed any weight loss as yet, but I don't feel as hungry at dinner time. So, maybe it is helping.
I was having no luck at 200 mcg per day and, after talking to my dr, now take 200 mcg 30-60 mins before each meal (B, L, D - not with "snack meals"). It has made a tremendous difference. The scale was stuck and the increased chromium has helped me moving downward again. Of course, this is as long as I stick to my IR diet.
