Increased dosages of clomiphene citrate

Hi all,

I've just been upped to 150s on clomiphene citrate (generic Clomid). I'm on medroxyprogesterone to force me to cycle, and the clomiphene is obviously to make me ovulate.

I went through the 50s and 100s over the past few months, and never ovulated. The ovulation indicator pee-stick thingies showed a faint line, but never close to matching the test line to indicate LH surge. The line was slightly darker on 100s than on 50s, so I had hope that with 150s it'd get darker still, but there's almost NO line left now at all.

I'm getting totally bummed.

I read online that clomiphene can be given in dosages up to 250s. I'd like to hear if anyone out there didn't ovulate on lower dosages but did so on higher dosages, so as to give me some hope. Because right now it's depressing...made worse because I can't sleep because the hot flashes are so bad.

So if anyone out there took 150 or higher dosages of clomiphene citrate/Clomid and ovulated when they hadn't done so before, PLEASE share so I can not feel so depressed about it all! I can suffer the hot flashes if only I had hope!!

I tried 50 and 100 on my own by getting meds from mexico and never o'd. Finally at 150mg I o'd.
Now the dr has finally put my on clomid and yet again on 50 I didn't o. Now I am just waiting and we will then go up to 100.

I got preg on 150 first time. I took two rounds of 100 and one at 150. From what I hear 50 is a waste of time for most women. Don't get discouraged! This could be your number. Hope all goes well for you. Good Luck!

Tracy, How did you get meds from Mexico. I'm not wanting any but was just wondering how you got them.

Thanks for the messages of hope. And good news...I had an ultrasound and there's a dominant follicle, so it looks like I might actually be ovulating! Yay!

So I say forget the ovulation indicator kits, to anyone else who might read this. They got me all depressed for no good reason.

Now I just need to relax and have nookie and hope to actually get pregnant!
