Increased dose.. feel yuck

Just a whine really. Since my recent troubles I decided to up my metformin dosage from 1000 to 1500...
Eugh... I never anticipated it would cause THIS much misery. I'm nauseated, seriously nauseated. I started yesterday, could it have been that quick to react? the nausea started last night.

I suppose i'm not used to it. I didn't have so much of a problem last time I went up to 3 pills a day heh.
I've gone from taking one in the morning and one before bed to taking a third in between which is I think the issue. My body is going "what are you doing you crazy woman!?" hahah. Still, we'll see how it goes right? wish me luck!

I take 1500mg ALL at night and feel fine the whole next day. I'm not sure if your Doc told you to spread it out like that and if he/she did, then obviously stick w/that plan. If not, try to take at least 2 of them at night right after your dinner/biggest meal.

I take 1500mg at night right before bed, but tried to increase to 2000mg and I was unable to handle it. For whatever reason I have little side effects with the 1500 mg, but WOW 2000 mg kills me.

I tried taking my full 1000 mg at night, and thought that my dr was trying to kill me. I called begging my pharmacist to switch my next rx back to the 500 mg pills rather then the 1000 mg pills.

I agree on juggling that additional pill around to see if it lessens the s/e. If that doesn't help, request that dr order you some 250 mg pills and add those to the morning and night schedule to get you up to the 1500.
