Exclamation The Infertility Cure book and my amazing acupuncture experience!

I went to my first acupuncture treatment on Friday. It was CD 26 and I had to ovulate or produce much cervical fluid. That night I had EWCM and then the next morning my temp jumped! I don't think it was a coincidence...

I LOVED my acupuncture treatment and I think this is the right path for me. I also bought and read The Infertility Cure by Randine Lewis -- I think this should be a mandatory read for anyone interested in healing their PCOS naturally. It all makes perfect sense now and I now this is what my body needs.

The book explains why acupuncture is a must for hormone imbalances and how to heal through the correct diet and supplements. I've been trying to heal naturally for about three years and this is the first book that I've read that really explains how all of our organs are involved in PCOS and the importance of healing all of them.

If you're hesitating or thinking about acupuncture (especially if you're TTC like me), I say do it. It might be a bit costly, but so are all the supplements or prescriptions, and this just might actually help to heal your symptoms.

Default Thanks for sharing

Congrats on your o and for trying acupuncture. I started going as well -- i had just started a cycle from taking d-chiro-inositol, but I'm hoping the acupuncture wil help create a regular cycle and help with other issue I have (anxiety, headaches). It really is a pretty amazing thing -- I was having pain all down my right arm (like carpal tunnel symptoms) but after a treatment, the stiffness and pain were gone the next day.

Also the treatments calm my nervous system.

I'm going to check out the book, too.

Thanks!

It's such a coincidence -- three weeks ago, my doctor told me I might have PCOS, and I went to the bookstore to buy a book about it -- wound up instead buying The Infertility Cure, and I am so enjoying it.

We're just doing accupressure at home, DH & me, but it's certainly true that if the book says I've got a particular symptom and should apply pressure to a particular point, that point is very tender. I do some of the points on DH as well, and he loves it. We've just been doing this one cycle, so we'll see a couple of months from now it there are results.

I've got both Kidney yin and yang deficiency symptoms, and the diet advice for those two are sometimes diametrically opposed -- does she mean to eat one way the follicular phase and another way the luteal phase? Can y'all ask her when you see her?

We're in Austin, and Houston isn't so far away, but I'm still trying to decide if travelling there a couple times might be worth it. Actually, I'm not trying to decide; I'm wondering if I can talk DH into it. Insurance doesn't cover it, I suppose.

I'm 45, and it's probably already too late, but my grandmother gave birth at my age, some 60 years ago, by accident, so that gives me some hope, maybe.

Dr. Lewis is amazing! I just returned home from attending one of the "Fertility Enhancing Retreats" that she has developed. I can't say enough of how much better I feel! If you are interested, PLEASE check out the website at www.fertilityretreats.com. Between Randine and her retreat partner Mary Jane White (Mary Jane handles the "Mind/Body" work) I finally feel hopeful again after three years of broken dreams.
