I feel a little dumb asking this but what exactly is this? Years ago when I was ttc (with no luck) I was on clomid doc said I o'd once but never again even at a higher dose. Dh and I are really wanting to start ttc again, my next appt. is 9/26, I thought about asking the doc if this is an option for us. As of right now I have been on glucophage 1000mgs a day and provera for ten days to induce af.

What are the risks of clomid and the HCG shot if any.

I think the biggest risk with Clomid is overstimulation of your ovaries. The hcg trigger should ensure that the matured egg is released from the follicle. I didn't feel anything from the hcg shot.
