Default Initial acne outbreak with vitex?

Hi there,

I haven't posted much here before, but I have been a long-term reader, and I thought it was time to get involved! I am taking the natural approach to regulating my cycles (or trying to get a cycle!), after being on the pill on and off for about 6 years.

I had gotten to the place where I was getting 7 weekly cycles - on metformin, a multi, zinc, vitamins B6, C, D, and EPO on and off.

About a week ago I thought I would give vitex a try to try and shorten my cycle length. Unfortunately i chose to start it at about 6 weeks through my cycle (probably not good timing!). But I have had a really bad acne breakout. I am susceptible to acne (it is one of my main symptoms), but haven't had it this bad for about 10 years (wide spread - chin, cheeks, forehead, rather than the usual jawline).

I am just wondering, has anyone else had this initial outbreak?? I am not sure whether to continue with it, or stop (and i am worried if I stop, then I will get the reversing effect!!).

Would love to hear others experiences!

Thanks so much,

Lilly
