Default Inlaws :)

After all the rants I read about inlaws, I have to post this post

I am so thankful to have inlaws that stand beside and support us no matter what we do, even if they dont always agree with it.
My father in law is the sweetest man I have ever met. He will do anything he can to make you feel at home in his house, and in his family. From the very first time I met them, they gave me a hug bye, and do so each time I see them. You never hang up without being told they love you. My mother in law is just the same, and instead of us daughter in laws being just that, we are her "daughters". I feel that I'm very blessed to have this kind of relationship with them. When I was having trouble getting pregnant, they assured me that it would happen , even when my sister in laws got pg, they never made me feel any less of a woman, they insisted my turn was coming. Sure enough it did, and they have been beside of us the whole time, making sure I'm alright and the baby is fine. They really are wonderful People. I love them like they were a second set of parents for me. This year will be my 5th year in their family, but it feels as though, I've been a member right from the start of dating my Dh.

What a wonderful thing too be thankful for!

It is not often that we get too hear the good about inlaws! You are truly very lucky. I have it 50/50 and I am also thankful for my mother inlaw. Thanks for the reminder that not many people have it so nice!

I just wanted to add that I too have a good relationship with the in-laws. My MIL has always taken my side :p , which drives my DH insane that his own mother doesn't defend him. I never knew my DH father. He died when my DH was 14, long before I knew the family. My BIL and SIL are great too. The only problem I have with BIL is that he smokes sooo much I can't visit his house. (His wife smokes also.) I end up having to go the Dr. two days after we visit. It kills my sinuses. I am very thankful for these in-laws every time I read the In-Laws rants.

How lucky you are. I never knew my mother in law but she gave me Tony so I'll always be grateful. I did know my father in law and sadly he passed away 5 months before we married. One of Tony's brothers doesnt speak to us cos we upset their rude friends at Mr. Quinn's funeral, and then as Tony was born in England the rest of his family are in the UK. But thankfully he has very good friends, so maybe that makes up for it.
