Thumbs down Inner Thigh/Bikini area issues

I have very sensitive skin. Even when I shave my legs I break out. My inner thighs are horrible. My bikini area is also bad. I have hair 1/2 way down each thigh, I have red marks, I have break outs, I have stretch marks, a few little boil like things. It is irrated and itches, It is so bad that I can not wear a normal swimsuit in the summer. I have to wear one that has shorts and does not show the bikini area since it is so inflammed and RED. I also can not wear short shorts due to the redness. On my pale skin it just looks horrible. Any idea what this is or what I can do about it. I have had it forever but never did anything about it.

OMG I know exactly what you mean. I have what I call "the extended bikini line" and I shave it. Well then it turns into red bumps that burn and itch and just hurt. I can't wear a normal bikini bottom either. Shorts for the bathing suit and I don't even attempt wearing shorts over the summer. I usually go for skirt. I am so embarrassed by this even in front of dh. Yuck. I don't feel feminine at all.

And as for the boils...I have had the same fricking boil for years. It went away and then recently came back...with a vengeance. I asked ob about it but it was not inflamed when she seen it and said it was just scar tissue. Luckily a few weeks later I seen a dermatologist for some newly found acne I was developing on my upper back. I told her about the boil and she said they never go away on their own. So I have to have surgically removed.

If you find any relief for the bumps, please let me know. I have bought and tried everything ... to no avail...

The boils you describe sound like hidradenitis suppurativa.

Here are some threads that deal with that subject:

It sounds like maybe there is more than 1 problem. From what I read is seems like you *may* have hidradenitis as a PP suggested. If you haven't checked out the thread you may want to. There are varying degrees of HS.

It also sounded like maybe you have razor burn? (I may have misread something so I'm sorry if I did! I'm not trying to make light or downplay something you know is more than razor burn.) If that is part of the issue contributing to your thigh troubles you may want to look at the Coochy Cream that Passion Party sells. Here is the link :http://http://www.slumberparties.com...1&CategoryID=6 (Edited: I just tried the link and it didn't take me there. In case it doesn't work for you, you can go to slumberparties.com & click on Relax to the Max and the bottle of Coochy is in the top row)

It is an adult website so there is TMI stuff on there (just a warning!) It's speciffically for shaving the more sensitive areas & it's supposed to sooth the skin pretty well. I haven't tried it personally but I know people who use it.

Another option would be Magic Powder. We've got a great thread about the product around here somewhere.
