Default Inositol and Metformin

I bought some inositol at GNC a few weeks ago, but haven't tried it yet. I am trying to figure out if I can take it with Metformin or not?

The Met doesn't seem to be working - I don't get my period on my own (i have to take Provera) and obviously I'm not ovulating.

My pharmacist said it was OK to combine the two drugs, but I just want to know if someone else out there is doing the same combination.

How much do you take? 1000 mg a day?
