I have been using the inositol for a month now and while I dont notice a difference in my bbt chart (yet... im guessing it will take about 3 months for it to take effect on me) I FEEL amazing... i have never felt this alert and awake... im so totally loving it. I feel human again! Im hoping for an ovulation this cycle I have so many cysts on my ovaries though that I have to work hard at getting rid of those suckers. Will be doing castor oil packs and starting progesterone on day 20 if no O... I cant let too many cysts develop. URG

I have been taking the inositol for about two months now. With Low GI diet and exercise I have lost 20 pounds and I got AF this month (on my own) for the first time in almost a year! I am loving it!

Hi ladies. I love reading your stories. I did by the D-chiro, but don't really know if I want to continue to purchase it. I am really debating trying this instead. However, I am a little confused on what to buy as the local Main Street Market that sells this kind of thing, has several different kinds. I have no idea which to buy. There is several. Any possibility of one of you having a minute to check-out there site and if you put inositol in the search it will come up with what they offer and let me know what to pick up. I would really appreciate it. The website is www.themainstreetmarket.com.

I would recommend the NOW foods 4 ounce powder inositol. Then by choline separately to take as well.. this way you can control how much of each you are ingesting.
Hope this helps!

I'll be honest and say I never went to any particular brand, but rather looked for the lowest price. I never noticed and less of an effect with any of the types I was on. Also, the reason I changed so much was availability at my local store and then moving - so nothing to do with being unhappy with the product.
Everyone else: I'm so happy reading about all of your success with the Inositol. I wish I felt comfortable enough to take it during pregnancy, but the risks just aren't worth it. I'm going to try and tough it out and pray my energy returns in the 2nd trimester, but plan on re-starting it after 36 weeks to help promote a natural labor and encourage breastmilk production. I'll be sure to let you all know how it works post-pregnancy compared to pre-pregnancy.

I haven't read through all the posts, but I just started Inositol powder myself. I have been taking 2500mg two times a day 5000mg total. I feel better already, less tired, more stable. That started the first couple of days I took it. I feel better now than I have in a few years. I am going to try choline the next time I need to buy to see if it helps any!
Ok, so you don't want to get the one that has both together. But buy them seperately. Thanks for the info.
Ok, and then I know I read it a few times on here, but what dose of each should someone take.
It really depends on who you ask. For me, I was taking around 1500mg/day and seeing results. Others have had good results at dosages around 2500mg. I'd suggest starting out slow (just like you would with Met) and do 500mg with each meal. Unless you start seeing issues, slowly increase it by 500mg a week until you reach a dosage you feel comfortable at.

The powder is sweet, kinda like an artificial sweetener. I have figured out over the past few days that it works better for me to take small doses during the day, with each meal. I take 4500mg a day right now, I should probably get closer to 5000mg. The powder I am using is NOW brand and I just use about 1/2 t. in the morning before I eat, 1/2 t. before lunch and the rest before dinner. I think it is working for me so far, only been on it a week or so, and I already feel better. Now if this forsaken hair would just go away!
I have a bottle of soy lecithin, of 1200mg per gel cap... it says it contains phosphatidyl choline and phosphatidyl inositol...
I was just wondering, if it would be good to use and if anyone recommends a certain dosage? it just says to take 1 gel as needed...
so if you take the choline seperate how much of that does a person take.
That will depend on you. I started out taking 250mg 3x's a day with each dosage of the Inositol. Then I got a higher dosage capsule (1200mg/ea of Phosphotidyl Choline) and was only able to take one a day. More than that and I would wind up with severe stomach issues. So if you're able to find a lower dosage capsule (doesn't have to be the Phospotidyl Choline - regular works fine), you can experiment and just keep an eye out for stomach upset. Once you hit that, bring your dosage back down.

yea, i had read somewhere that 57gms of soy lecithin would equal 1200mg of inositol.. then i was like, woah! that would mean i would have to take 57 capsules.. haha... no thanks! So, I've decided to take 1 lecithin capsule with each meal, but prior to eating take two of the choline/inositol 500mg capsules...
I haven't gotten my menses (what does AF stand for? i'm new here) since August and that's with taking progesterone cream. So frustrating, I really hope this works.
What I did notice yesterday was that I had a lot of energy thru the day and I didn't get the usual tiredness at 5pm. Also, in the morning I didn't feel those creepy crawlies I usually get on my scalp, not until the afternoon when I took this other pill which contained saw palmetto and fo-ti or something (I really hate that feeling )...
so, I'm just planning on taking my multi vitamin (which does fabulous job on my nails and my hair grows in length just not thick) and the choline/inositol capsules with the lecithin.
I really hope this works by the end of the month b/c my ob/gyn wants to put me on some type of birth control or at least the progesterone pills to get my menses. Really don't want to do that.
Thanks RoseGeranium... I've tried birth control in the past and it was awful! They messed me up more than I was prior to that and it's been a rollercoaster ride since...
Has anyone had more shedding with the inositol/choline? i've just been shedding a lot more than usual???
