I just got a copy of my lab results back and the only thing I saw on there that said anything about insulin was an Insulin-like GF test. The result was 357 and the flag reference was 138-410. Anyone have ANY idea what an Insulin-like test is? And would you say that my result was on the high end of normal?

could GF stand for Glucose Fasting?!?!? Did you have anything to eat/drink 6-8 hours before your lab work? I've always heard it Fasting Glucose (not the opposite, but every lab is different).

And, it it was fasting, I'd say yeah, your on the higher end. Are you being started on any medications for your sugar levels? (I would certainly hope they are, and if not you need to question why/what they're going to do about it.

I ate something at around 6 that morning and had my blood drawn at about 12:30 in the afternoon. My blood sugar also came back at 80. What does this mean?
