The Insulin Resistance Diet Has anyone read this book? I, after years of trying to get a doctor to listen to me, finally found one who believed and confirmed that I do have PCOS. Now I've picked up this book in the interest of controlling it via diet and natural methods (the doc didn't recommend it, he actually sent me home with synthetic hormones and that was it, needless to say I never went back). I'm wondering if this method, this change in eating habits has worked for anyone else. I thought about Atkins or the Zone or one of the other popular low-carb diets but they all seem unrealistic to me. How on earth can anyone believe they could stick to those eating restrictions? The 'diet' in this book seems MUCH more realistic to me.
Glad to have found this board. PCOS is nasty, even if I don't plan on having children, it's still a heartbreaking disorder to have.
