insulin resistance in thin women? I've been diagnosed by a friend of the family endocrinologist as definitly having PCOS based on a ton of bloodwork, but I haven't met with the local endocrinologist yet (next week.) So meanwhile, I've been low carbing, excercising. But can anyone tell me, are thin women usually IR or not? If I am, will the low carb diet help much? If it matters, I'm 5'2", about 115, so I could use to loose a little, but I'm not really overweight.
Thanks, and sorry if this is common knowledge, I've only been diagnosed for two weeks.
