Default Insurance

HI all, I recently lost my job and thank goodness found another. However, I do not have insurance. My husband doesn't at his job either. We are now forced to look at individual plans. Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with any certain company? Also, Do I have to worry about not being accepted because of my pre existing medical condition? (PCOS)
Insurance is so gosh darn confusing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Keep positive thoughts because your mind is stronger at healing than any medication you can take. Believe in yourself to heal and you will start seeing a difference.

I think it does vary, but there's some new legislation that says if you've had continous coverage up until you get a new ins company they will have to cover any pre-existing conditions. If you've had a gap there's a possibility you may be a little out of luck. As far as companies go...when you get an individual plan you're never going to have the kind of coverage you get with a group. My husband works with his dad in a family business and has a blue cross plan. Basically, when you buy the individual plan it costs a fortune...I think it's over $700 every 2-3 months. And they don't cover a whole lot...when I had the flu and needed antibiotics it wasn't covered...and they don't cover the annual exam pap/pelvic or any mental health either. The Rx coverage pretty much sucks too. You'll be alright if you lose a limb or something tho...lol. Sorry I don't have better advice...maybe you'll find something better out there. Good luck!!!
