That my insurance doesnt cover fertility medications, and he hopes that the fortamet 1500 mg would do the job. I honestly believe that because of my age 22 He doent want to help me. But i expressed to him that me and my husband have been married for a year now and we really want to concieve. My husband is 27 and has two children,I feel so less of a wife. I'm starting to believe that my husband doesnt like it because out of no where he said Honey lets adopt a baby, That REALLY hurt me! But back to the insurance I tried calling around once I answer the surveys insurance companies usually deny me because of the PCOS and High blood pressure due to PCOS. I dont know what to do

I"ve had doctors just get me and send me home because of my age in the past. I"m now 22, and when I go back to the Doc toward the beginning of the year, if they do the same thing... I'll Find another doctor. Sounds like that's what you need to do if your Doc isn't to eager to help you!
Good Luck and I hope that everything works out for you! If anyone else knows how much you desire to have a kid it's me. I've always wanted ONE!! And now, if I don't have the proper treatment, the insurence to pay for it then I'll be in the same boat you are. I will keep you in my prayers and Keep God the Center of your Concentration and I pray he will Bless you and your Husband.

It definitely makes things tougher. Good luck to you! Are you actively TTC right now, or just getting your PCOS under control? What treatments are you doing now?

Points: 341.96 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 341.96 | I've been TTc for two years. I've been diagnosed with PCOS since I was 15. I didnt realize the seriousness of it until I turned 18. The doc that Dx me was not very informative. He said I may have to take Bc for a very long time and when its time to have a baby I will need help. At 15 those things werent important so I blew it off. Right now I'm on Fortamet 500mg I was suppose to bump up to 1500mg by now but everytime I go 1000mg my stomach goes haywire. I tried plain Metformin I couldnt take it at all. I did notice when I lost weight before AF came every month for five months I gained the weight bak and she dissapeared again. So I decided to go back to the weight lost regimen that I was using and I did but now I have not lost a pound like it became extra hard. I'm starting to become really really fustrated. Almost to the point where I'm ready to give up on having a child and believing that Pcos will never go away. But I'm trying to remain strong but its hard on me and my husband.

The trial provided me with meds, ultrasounds, checked to see if tubes were working, removed a cyst (lap), check my dh and gave me lots of support. However, we were never successul- another story. But maybe you can look in your area to find a protocal/clinical trial. I just remember being your age and everyone telling me : just relax! That sucked! Good luck and we did finally adopt a beautiful baby girl.

Many times (as is the case with me), insurance will cover testing to diagnose infertility, but no treatments that aren't medically necessary. If you haven't already been, it probably wouldn't hurt to be worked up for endometriosis, blocked tubes, etc. Also, will your insurance cover BCP's?
While these things may sound crazy, many cysters get PG on or immediately after BCP's, and clearing your tubes can't hurt. While these are not optimal treatments, it doesn't hurt to try everything your insurance will cover.
Also, I don't think Clomid is that expensive. I checked the cost at Walgreens Pharmacy and 10 pills cost $134.99, and the generic is only $25.59 for 10. I have never been on Clomid, but I am assuming that you only take it for 10 days in one cycle.
Good luck!
