You can deduct medical expenses on your tax return, but only to the extent that they are more then 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. For example, if your adjusted gross income is $40,000, you can adjust medical expenses that are over $3000. If your medical expenses were $2500 you could not deduct anything. If your medical expenses were $3500, you could deduct $500.
You can search on the IRS web-page for "medical expenses" and find out whatever you need.
