Did they hand out an employee handbook that covered healthcare options? If not you can either call his human resources department or the insurance company and ask.

You can call the insurance company and ask if you have coverage, and if so, how much is covered. There usually is a customer service number on the back of your card.

I would say call the number on the back of the insurance card and find out what is covered with IF treatments. I know in many cases, they will cover some things that are considered diagnostic, but (to quote my insurance) do not "facillitate pregnancy but treat infertility"..um...ok, doublespeak! I would ask about ultrasounds, medications, dr's office visits, procedures (like the HSG) and bloodwork....if they can't tell you, I would call the HR department and find out who can! Best of luck!!

The company's HR department should have a plan document available that details the coverages. Some companies put it on their internal website, so it could be that your husband needs to find it and print it for you.
