Smile Interesting and Good News

I was diagnosed with PCOS in October 2000, put fertility tx on hold because we adopted in March of 2001 and returned to the doctor today. My hypothyroidism was diagnosed last April 2003 and I have been taking Armour Thyroid. I didn't think PCOS ovaries could be "fixed" per se or get any better. But after almost a year of having my thyroid condition treated, I returned and had a vaginal US done today. Guess what? No more cysts. He said, "Your ovaries look really good. I see no evidence of PCO anymore." My skin has also cleared up and I am every 28 days regular. I am thinking my problem was really hypothyroidism all along. Awfully funny all this gets better after the thyroid was treated. I know there is no definite connection between the two, but it has me thinking that, perhaps, there is just so much yet to learn regarding a potential connection. So many of the symptoms of PCOS and hypothyroid overlap or are similar. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know. And we are starting treatments again when I get AF next. He has given scripts for clomid and HCG. I am also going to have a hysterosalpingogram next month.
