My husband and I have a huge heart for international adoption. We desperately want to save a little Chinese baby from the orphanages in China that just leave the babies in cribs and never give them any love. So sad.

We're too young right now... we've been told you have to be at least 30 and meet a huge list of requirements. Has anyone on here started that kind of process or have you adopted internationally? DH and I are TTC on our own right now, but there is no doubt in my mind that I want to adopt as well. I know it's super expensive and I don't undestand why... don't they want their babies adopted out?

I haven't personally but I have a friend who just completed her second adoption from China, first was a little girl, she was 13 months when they brought her home. The second time around the list/wait was very long and after about a 2 year wait they switched to China's waiting children list, they then received a referral after 2 short months for a 3 year old boy....they just got home in January.

They are very happy and things ran smoothly both times, they very much enjoyed their trips to China and took advantage of seeing all the sites they could.

They are incredibly happy with their decision to adopt from China! Let me know if you have any questions I may be able to answer for you
