Acajou - Congrats on your pg! I wish you all the best that it continues and your baby keeps baking.
Sorry to hear about troubles with DH. I know it is very hard for me sometimes since my DH grew up in a different culture than I did.

Sandy: Thank you
We have been married 11 years and living together in Finland (his home country) for 12. I think the previous losses put a strain on the relationship even though they were 5 years ago. He hasn't taken that well to this pregnancy even though it has progressed further than any of the previous ones. I did have a bunch of scares from 5w6d to 8 weeks. I had bleeding, passing clots, being told I was going to miscarry. But, we talked today and he seemed better. He even wanted to pick out names. We decided on one for a boy. He said that he believes that this pregnancy will make it and we'll be parents. So, maybe he is starting to change. We have had some culture clashes. He has his family and friends in Finland and i'm rather isolated there though i've been there for such a long time and speak Finnish. It just isn't the same as being in the US. He has lived in the US before (for 2 years in college) so, he is familiar with my culture, but he is still a Finn and they tend to be cold and unemotional. Interestingly enough, we haven't had clashes do to race, just culture (american vs finnish).

Anyway, now, i'm back in my homestate at least until the 16th of june. Then we'll decide what to do about our relationship.
I really spilled my guts...

I read this again and wanted to comment on this. I tried fertility drugs, clomid and femera and never once got pregnant even though I o'ed on them. Metformin and weight loss have been the only successful formula for me to get pregnant (that's how I got pregnant all 4 times). Are you on metformin? Are you overweight? Have you had infertility testing? Sorry, for being nosey.

I used soy the last two cycles both of which made me O. This cycle I took 60 mg on CD1, 90 mg, CD2, and 120 mg CD3-6. I had very strong pressure in my ovaries until CD10. FF gave me crosshairs for CD15 but I think it was CD10 or CD11.

Actually, after the ectopic last year I have lost all but about 7 lbs to put me within a normal BMI. I have started taking met at 500 mg - although I am IR. Plus I make sure I get some exercise. You are not being nosy. I have done all that can be within the constraints on this island. I also lost my left tube last year. I have been ovulating.

Acajou - I am sorry for all your losses as well. I do love living here and its quite beautiful. There are many things that I wish were more "modern" here. The closest IF treatment center is 100 miles away on another island. I miss really good deals on basics as well.
I am not planning on upping the Met. In fact, I have only been taking it for 1 1/2 months. My dr was killed in Jan unexpectedly so my GP would only renew my script for 500 mg for 3 more months. He wants me to do a full lab run up which costs lots $$$. We do not have insurance that would pay for it.
All my weight loss was through diet/exercise. I need to start adding more exercise again, but make sure I do some weekly.

Thank you.

I'm so sorry agbout your doctor. How did it happen?

I'm sorry. It seems like you are caught in a difficult position.

I guess there is no way for you to get anything covered in the US.

My dr was killed by her son, who is mentally ill. I used to live down the road from her house so we knew right away after the body was discovered. Plus, I had an appointment 2 days later.
I am working through the situation. I know that if it is meant to be, there will be away for it to happen. Actually because of the cost of flying to the US it wouldn't be worth it. Just like flying to the other island. It is just too costly for airfare and hotel.

No that was her only child. She had him when she was in her late 20s early 30s from what I remember. It was very upsetting for me. Especially since she is the one that performed the operation and saved my life.

I am living it up to God. I am just trying to live healthy and take care of myself.

That is horrible

That is a good way to handle it.

May I ask how you and your husband met?
