Unhappy Intimacy is painful!

My ovaries are getting to the point where I pop cysts at least once a week. The pain, even when not sharp is really effecting my sex life. Every time I get aroused I get pain in my ovaries. My partner is really supportive, but it really bothers me. She hasn't been able to touch me in months. Any suggestions? Also, my dr. is saying we have to pretty much shut my ovaries down. They might not come back up. I've always wanted to carry a child, I'm not sure if I 'm ready to give that up yet. I'm too young to have to make these kinds of decisions. Every else says that especially being in a lesbian relationship that I should just have Jules carry. I'm sure that would be wonderful, but just because I am bisexual does not mean that my desire to carry a child went away. I'm just looking for someone else who understands. Most people just don't get how I could be sick and in pain all the time. I need to find someone else that knows what I'm going through. I hate this disease. I hate the pain.

When I was having alot of ovarian pain, my doctor recommended that I go on a monophasic birthcontrol pill. I was on Yasmin for a while. It did help. I would also recommend Glucophage. It has been a miracle for me.

Good luck

I have hypoglycemic reactions. My normal blood sugar is around 60. Would glucapohege still work for me, or is IR restricted to high blood sugar (as I had previously thought). Also, I have concern about how rough it may or may not be on my digestive system as I have previously had a roux-en-y gastric bypass.

There was an article a while back in the " Glucophage" on this board. There has been some studies that say that women with PCOS that are not IR benefit from glucophage as well. I would check it out and read it. I would also maybe print it out and take it to your next doctors appointment with you.

I understand. I might not be able to carry a child either. SO might also have PCOS. Now where do I turn?
