Default Introducing me :)

Hi! I just found this site two days ago with only a couple moments to look around and then yesterday I looked a little more.. I am 27 and was dx with pcos in march of '99.. At the time I didn't know how much it would affect my life or that this was much more common than I could have imagined. I got married in '03 and we decided to ttc just after christmas that year.. So I went to the doctor got put on met and nothing happened.. Easily discouraged and lacking knowledge I quit the met after a few months and decided to just let whatever happen that was going too.. over a year later I got pregnant and had a beautiful baby boy on 2-2-06.. My pregnancy was high risk as the pcos made me have high BP during the second and third trimester resulting in being induced over three weeks early.. He was worth it all though! My DH and I have decided to ttc again so I saw my dr tuesday and talked about the options with her and she decided to put me on met again.. Not wanting to become discouraged this time around I immediately sought out support and here I am.. I'm so happy to have found someplace where I can go and read about real peoples experiences with everything and know that I'm not alone and it isn't hopeless.. (however started this is a godsend!) I'm horrible at reading forums and keeping up with them but I'm going to try to make this a once a day stop for the motivation to keep trying to lose weight and give met a chance to work.. It really isn't easy to accept or even understand some of the s/e of pcos.

(if anyone has lots of extra baby dust around - blow some my way)

thanks for listening (well reading)! I look forward to getting a better look around.

Kate

Smile Introducing Me :)

Hello! I am a newbie also, yet I am at least 10 years older than you. Sounds like we might be in the same boat.
I was diagnosed with PCOS in January of this year. This is 8 years after having my DD born with Down Syndrome in '99. Hopefully we can learn a lot from the others on this cite.
Heather
