Hi everyone.. I am new around here, and I just wanted to introduce myself on this board, since I can see myself spending most of time here. My name is Sara, and I am 18 years old, going to be 19 in less than a month. I was diagnosed with PCOS in September/Octoberish. It was a really hard day for me, but my parents and even my boyfriend didn't seem to get why I was upset. Since then, I havent even really though about it - I guess I was in denial, trying to convince myself that it wasn't anything to be upset about. Anyway, I am on Yaz now, but I absolutely hate it. I also disliked my first gyno, so I have an appointment with a new doctor coming up. My diagnosis was really a complete surprise, I thought my irregular periods were not really anything to worry about.
Um, what else... I am a sophomore psychology major. I love to dance, but I have sort of gotten away from it sicne I started college. I love kids, and I work as a part time nanny. I am hoping to find more information here. I am thinking that there is more to PCOS that I first thought, and maybe some of the other things I have been having a really hard time dealing with (mood swings, maybe depression, my hair coming out) are because of PCOS and I didn't even know it/no one ever told me.
Thanks, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!
